Description

Neal Adams seemed to enjoy being asked to draw portraits of comic artists, so I asked him to do three more - this time in ink. The third of these was Alex Raymond.

Of the Raymond portrait here, Neal said on his Facebook Live video on August 28, 2020 - "a drawing of Alex Raymond - The guy who created Flash Gordon and Rip Kirby and created a style... I had to search for photos, because Alex Raymond did a drawing of himself, but when you do a drawing of yourself it's a little subjective, but I found some pretty good photos and I was able to put this together. So that's Alex Raymond. That's a great request."
