Description

Earth 295, the Age of Apocalypse.
Being mainly an avid reader of comics from the late 80s to late 90s, the Age of Apocalypse has always resonated with me.
The top half splash rendition of Weapon X by Yildiray truly and literally captures that "post apocalyptic " feel. In this story he's tasked to lead different Wolverines from alternate realities to stop an Onslaught/Phoenix version.

The Weapon X image is also used in the opening credits page

Seriously!!! How did the actual OWNER of this page not even MENTION the image of Apocalypse up in the sky?!?! THAT is literally the best, most beautifully illustrated part of this entire piece! Not to mention that John's entire collecting focus has always been on VILLAINS, including his own love for Apocalypse!!! John, you're blowing my mind, how could you?! 🤯

that Apocalypse "moon" is menacing AF in addition to Wolvie on the bodies mountain. def all the right vibes. awesome page!

Atop the defeated, nay, mauled! Super effective and perfect image for an issue 1 title page. That Apoc in the background sky really takes it over the top. Congrats, man!

OMG! What a stunning title page by Yildiray Cinar! gorgeous work with Weapon X Wolverine standing atop a pile of bodies. The scowling face of Apocalypse appears in the sky behind him, and the ruins of a once-great city lay all around him. Beautifully laid out and handsome inked, this page tells us all we need to know about the story that is about to be told. Three smaller panels hint at what Wolverine has been through and about the team he's about to join. This is a terrific page. CInar really stepped up his game with this book. Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
