DescriptionIf you been collecting original comic art long enough chances are you will have some stories. I am a big fan of Peach Momoko's art but I wanted to have something by her of some major Marvel character. So when this Iron Man variant cover art came up I jumped for it. I had bought art from her before and knew what to expect. Since it would be coming from Japan there could be delays. At some point I checked tracking only to find it was listed as delivered! The co-op I live it has a video camera so I asked that they checked to see who picked up the mail. Their response was there was no mail delivery around the time indicated. I went to the post office but all they could do was show me the signature provided when the package was delivered. Whoever signed it used my name. At that point I figured it was a lost cause, if I ever saw the art again someone would be offering it for sale. Just a couple weeks short of 6 months later I found the package next to my apartment door early one morning. It was not there the early evening of the previous day. There is no way the post office would have made a delivery during the night, someone in my building must have placed it there. Why they would hold onto the package for so long is a mystery.Social/Sharing |

It has the hot rod feel with the red and yellow popping like it was fresh off the assembly line. Really edgy that Peach added the smoky environment to bring an element of the unknown like how she worked on ghostly stories in Japan. It kind of resembles a skull from afar. 6 months? Maybe demons spirited it away. Or maybe package thieves took it, but the curse of Demon Days took over and possessed them until they returned the box.

Man, well glad it finally got there, Harry, whew. And it's a stunner. Sublime color work. Love the contrast of the vibrant red and gold armor vs the smoky swirling black and grey and everything-in-between in the background. Congrats!
