Description

I don't own very many comics-themed paintings. At 2019 Terrificon, I was going through the portfolio of the great Dave Johnson and looking for a cover to add to my collection when I came across this watercolor painting of Rogue in the Savage Land.

I think Johnson is arguably the greatest comics cover artist of the past 20 years, but as you can see from this piece, he is also a very talented painter. Rogue is one of my three favorite X-Men and thanks to the good reverend, I now have a wonderful watercolor piece featuring her.

This is such a great piece, and it is rare to find a painted piece fo JOhnson these days. Fantastic pick up.
