Description

"The Legacy of Unicron" Part 6!

The UK comics tackled stories and characters that the US comics didn't cover. The events taking place after Transformers the Movie were covered on the Season Three Sunbow cartoons, but the US comics mostly ignored that future timeline for the Transformers. However, UK comics tackled their own version of sequel in "The Legacy of Unicron"!

Smokescreen is chastised by Scattershot for ignoring Rodimus Prime's orders and flying the Autobot shuttle in front of Unicron's deadly eye-beams. He is still smarting from the sacrifice of his fellow Autobot Inferno, who perished in a kamikaze attack on the Decepticon army on Cybertron (and the leader of the Junkions, Wreck-Gar, who he believes Death's Head has slain).

Hitch is making me like how the personalites are done with the faces having more human traits than ever before.

Smokescreen going rogue out of grief hits hard, and getting chewed out mid-space crisis makes it even grittier. I love how this art captures both the epic scale and the emotional weight. Great black spotting, too.

really cool page!! every panel looks great. I particularly like the shot of the underneath the Autobot shuttle in panel 1, even looks Kirby-esque when colored on the published page. nice one!
