Seeing that Ordway was the artist in the official DC comic adaptation of Batman 1989, this was a great choice to commission to take you back to that world of Gotham.

I remember my friend having that article when it came out. I think we were in 8th grade at the time, and we got into a huge argument over whether the plotline in the article was real (I'm proud to say that I argued it wasn't). At any rate, having the artist who did the adaptation of the '89 movie create a piece based on the "sequel" was a brilliant move.

It's amazing (to me) that somebody else remembers the article. 0o0

I think I still remember it because it led to one of the worst arguments that my friend and I ever had. I can still recall being in his apartment and fighting for over an hour as to whether the story was real. He moved away before the actual sequel came out, and I remember wanting to call him to say "I told you so", but I didn't have his number. I had thought the article also mentioned something about Egghead, but that could just be me misremembering some three decades later.

You know you are passionate about comics when you and your buddy are arguing over them
