DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!6x14.25" artboard has pen and ink original art from partial page for unpublished 1940s Black Canary comic story by Carmine Infantino (1925-2013), whose Golden Age work preceded the work he is best known for, helping establish the Silver Age of DC Comics. Artboard features two panels, showing Black Canary fighting two men in alley, tossing one headfirst into garbage can in first panel and turning to the other in second panel, who proclaims "I Always Said Women Mean Trouble!" Left/right margins have some aging while rest of artboard has lt. even aging. Art remains clean and displays Exc. Great action-packed sequence. It appears likely that both are among the partial-page Golden Age original art that were saved from oblivion by fellow DC interns during the 1970s. Dan Makara Collection. Social/Sharing |
