DescriptionRyan Stegman did a marvelous job with this series, and he definitely went all out on this particular double page splash. The Spidey Family -- Peter (Spider-Man), MJ (Spinneret) & Annie (Spiderling) — flee the Mole Man and his minions (who are riding dinosaurs --- of course they are...). Just love this dynamic image! Social/Sharing |

Yup, I loved Ryan's work on this book, too. So much energy...and you got that here in spades, paired with the depth. Characters streaking across and outsie the pages! I'm a fan of JP Mayer's inks on Ryan but it's also cool seeing him do his own inks...there's a scratchiness that matches the energy. Congrats!

I love the "coming out at you" effect this DPS has. It feels like he's leaping right off the page. Amazing piece!

I remember really enjoying this series. It was a lone glimmer of hope for those of us still unhappy with Mr. JMS and it turned out to be a great read, with tremendous visuals as well. Case in point.

Stegs was building his superstardom with this book. It is easy to see why he is so big today!

Being chased by the Moleman's minions through the catacombs? Now THAT is an original backdrop for a Spidey comic book story and as you say, the camera angle helps make the action incredibly dynamic! Sweet addition to your Spiderversity collection!

Dynamic tunnel escape! It has as much drama in the chase as Lando and Nien Numb escaping in the Falcon out of the Death Star with those shadow lines that also serve as motion blurs underneath.

That's awesome. Stegman does draw a great Spidey. The rugged musculature works great here.

agree with you, Stegman killed it on this series and it's easy to see how he went to the stratosphere from there within Marvel as a go-to artist and his popularity rise dramatically. This is an incredible DPS, awesome snapshots for each character and a very dynamic feel. So sick! Congrats Paul

WOW - GREAT shot of Spidey here (!!), but there's no way -anything- can top the indelible image of the Mole Man riding shotgun on a chariot being pulled by bomb-toting velociraptors riden by Moloids... Coolest. Thing. EVER. :) Beautiful, high octane renderings by Ryan here; he threw everything at this one! Great piece, Paul! Congrats!
