DescriptionBig Ass Comics #1 ”Dale Steinberger, The Jewish Cowgirl” Page 2 by underground Comix legend Robert Crumb. Published by Rip Off Press in 1969.Cowgirl’s horse and jockey are having a drink and a few laughs, at Cowgirl’s expense, in this second page from "Dale Steinberger, the Jewish Cowgirl." A four page story. Set up feels like “3 Walk into a bar” type joke, haha! Ink on bristol, with an image area of approximately 8" x 12.25". In Excellent condition. Always wanted a good page with a Crumb girl and anthropomorphic character yet not be too sexually graphic for display. Crumb is known for his work on Fritz The Cat, Mr Natural, Zap Comix, Weirdo, Keep On Truckin, American Splendor (written by Harvey Pekar) and Crumb’s documentary about his life and career titled “Crumb” directed by Terry Zwigoff. Crumb is a prolific artist & cartoonist who has contributed to many of the seminal works of the underground & alternative comix movement in the 1960s. Social/Sharing |

Amazing Robert Crumb page! Outrageous as always, but outrageous was his thing.

Who would not be pleased with getting a page from big ass comics which has a big ass in the last panel. Sadly, the rest of us have to settle for metaphorical 'Crumbs of comfort' by viewing , rather than owning it. Digital comfort. Can you live on that?
