Description

End of Evangelion commission by IAN MACEWAN made between 2021 and 2022
Approximately A3 size (11in x 17in)

I have been thinking of commissioning something from Ian since I first started talking with him and buying his original art. I made a big list of characters and series for him to choose from and since we are both fans of Evangelion, we agreed on the Eva-02 fighting scene from End of Evangelion. While Ian was working on it, I thought of adding a panel of Asuka in the plug showing her distress during the fight and suggested it to Ian who had the same idea.
Ian gave regular feedback on how the commission was going. You can see the different stages he went through in the additional images.
In the end Ian absolutely killed it! The hatching is crazy, the overall composition of the piece is fabulous. Talk with Ian's agent and commission him anything. You won't be disappointed.

Ian is going to do limited edition prints (100 copies each) of some of his commissions and he flattered me by choosing this one as his 1st.
