DescriptionOne of the best things about our hobby is that we get to own a piece of our past.This cover represents that nostalgia for me. I mostly read Batman comics...at the time when Jim Aparo was the main artist of my childhood. I remember when the 100 Page square bound comics came out (only 60 cents) and loving how there were multiple stories in each. Ths cover, in my opinion, is one of Aparo's best Batman covers. I love how he framed the action sequence...the positioning of the heroes...the details in the characters and the skyline...the contasts of the heroes and the plane. I even like how Aparo drew Batman hanging from a gargoyle...instead of standing on top of one (as most commonly seen). In the spirit of Christmas, I am so grateful to (Saint) Nick Barrucci for allowing me to become the caretaker for this wonderful art. It will be framed and proudly displayed to be cherished daily. It's always wonderful when as collectors of art, we can find a piece that has so much meaning to us, and makes the past come to life again. Congrats Jordan! It's one seriously amazing cover!!!

It is beautiful, and while will be missed, I'm glad that I got to be the caretaker and holder till you wanted it. You're a great person Jordan, and am glad that it's in a collection of someone who loves it. The Detective #440 to #445 are Jim's best Batman covers, you are in rare company. Congrats brother and Merry Christmas!

Congrats! This is appropriately titled as getting an Aparo cover is definitely getting a grail piece!

Good point. I wish the Manhunter head shot was original art and not a stat.
