Description

Historic very 1st appearance ever of the Ultimate Punisher.

Written by Brian Michale Bendis and masterfully drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz back in 2001.

Bill is easily one of my mostest bestest favoritest artists...and to have a historic page so artistically drawn is very gratifying.

Check out the way Bill weaved in the Punisher's face in with the logo.
His brush strokes and surreal styling are always true works of art.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am very grateful for many things:
1) Micah at Comic Connect for helping me become the caretaker for this art
2) Bill for attending NYCC, giving me the opportunity to meet him.
Check the way he wonderfully signed the matting around the page...ready to frame

Very rare and historical. It's 2001 and Marvel was climbing out of bankruptcy with the Ultimate line leading the way and we still see the twin towers in this shot from the skies of New York City. One can look at Sienkiewicz's work from any era and see genius.
