Great recreation. Curious about the process: Did Gary do a scan of the cover and then resize and convert the blacks to a light-blue to print on illustration board —and then pencil and ink over that?

Feel free to ask Gary. He has a gallery on CAF. I know sometimes he works by having a scan of the original art.

Nicely squeezed composition! The juicy inks for black on black and tight crosshatches work great in silhoutte against the light.
