Description11x17”. My collection is woefully lacking in X-Men characters, and I loved this cover when Chris posted it on socials. Thought this would be a fun time to post it, with the debut of X-Men ‘97 happening today. Tons to like here, but super cool seeing Samnee using razors to achieve the texture for the claw swipes. Samnee remains one of my absolute favorite artists.Social/Sharing |

All inked background Samnee cover is always cool. A solo character piece where all focus goes into Wolverine is doubly cool. The classic Romita method that works no matter what! Samnee cracked how to do it and it says good things for his work going forward!

Dynamic with the pose and sense of movement, then the claw swipe trail vs the all black background...perfecto! Uniquely sweet take by Samnee!

Such a clean Wolverine cover from Samnee and the X slash is so perfect. Samnee remains one of. Y top two current artist! Thank you for sharing!

Have to love that usage of the negative space! Whereas some others would have just drawn the Wolvie and did the rest with digital effects, he went all out and did the full background and effect. Really makes for a great piece!

The pose, execution, and whole idea of this is awesome! I feel like finding new ways to draw Wolverine is challenging and this is a perfect example of one. Big congrats Bub!
