DescriptionRIP Joe Sinnott (1926 - 2020).While this is a later FF page, I think it's a nice example of the amazing work that Kirby and Sinnott were doing on this series, even after the move to smaller sized art in the late 60's. The page features some dramatic action, not to mention tons of Kirby Krackle in the background. The only thing missing is The Thing. I bought this off of eBay way back in 1999. I've said it before and will say it again -- it's hard to believe now how much great art was for sale on eBay in the late 90's to early 2000's. I miss those days! Social/Sharing |

King Kirby!! You know there's been a shift on CAF when a page this amazing only has one comment.

Shhboom! just begins to call it. Great action, loads of Kirby Krackle, and just killer Sinnott inks. Thank you for posting.

Dazzling! Amazing to me what a pro Jack was, since he was disenchanted with Marvel at this time, yet still came up with brilliant work.

So much Krackle, I love it! I shudder to think what you paid for this beauty on eBay 21 years ago. Thanks for sharing Ted!

I think I paid about $650 for it. It was an impulse buy, because I fell in love with the image. It's amazing how much great art there used to be on eBay in the late 90's/ early 2000's!

Fantastic piece and I totally agree that Jack and Joe's work on FF remained very high quality (visually) through the end of their run. But....isn't Crystal headpiece (or whatever those black bands in her hair are) missing in panel one? No prize anyone?

How right you were to jump at the opportunity to acquire such a page, price notwithstanding! A real gem!
