DescriptionI suppose this covers both art & memorabilia. Besides collecting comic art have quite a few original production-used scripts from the cult BBC/Dave comedy series Red Dwarf. So I thought, why not share this little gem with you all seeing it has some unique art on it.Anyway, featured as said is an original Red Dwarf script owned by the late BBC visual effects department designer Peter Wragg (1946-2012) in the production of series six, episode one, story called "Psirens" way back in 1997. One of the funniest episodes ever. I advise all lovers of comedy, especially Red Dwarf, to watch it. Smeging fabtastic! He, Peter Wragg, not only sketched/doodled a picture of Starbug on the front cover, but also signed his name in capitals on the top right corner cover too, which is a bonus. And not visible are his numerous annotations on the inner pages of the script which is fascinating to see how the series was made. 🙂 Social/Sharing |

Pretty neat as Wragg was a big model maker and head visual effects guy for BBC. A demonstration of how he might sketch these ships before he built them for use on the show.

Hi Marcus. Yeah, it was a sad loss when he passed. A few years back had the oportunity to buy multple scripts, in particular this one with the doodle on, including others signed by him and the main cast members.
At my last count think I have around 10 or 12 Red Dwarf production-used scripts including some signed books, audience tickets, and even a cast signed director's chair back. Never seen one of those before. Pretty cool too.
I find today most of the effects used on Red Dwarf are CGI. And although it's great to see it's not the same as an actual model.
I'd love to own a real Starbug prop, but they are way too expensive. Although I do have the next best thing. The electronic playset model with mini figures. Happy me , happy wallet..
