I don't know how he did it, but Mora has synthesized the disparate styles of Jim Lee, Bruce Timm, & Greg Capullo, chromed it in the sheen of manga, then delivered it with the deft immediacy of a DWJ. A wonder! Future State: Dark Detective #1 P22.

Your qualification is again interesting. I see Mora as a more interesting version of Sean Gordon Murphy (than he is himself).

I think SGM is more gestural and spontaneous in his rendering, even at the construction level. Dan nails more down before applying textures, IMO.
