DescriptionAs Amazing Spider-Man covers go, this one is definitely on the dark side, and quite unsettling ... let's hope there is just a Spidey-shaped doll in that costume ... but I absolutely love the rawness and savagery of that image. The Lizard has never been a villain to trifle with -- more crocodile than lizard really -- so it's very cool to see how terrifying he can actually be depicted. And the fact that he is still dressed in his Doc Connors lab coat makes the whole thing even chillier. I loved Camuncoli's work on ASM, but his work on Superior Spider-Man made me a true fan. And Janson's inks are really superb here as well. Lizzy Lizzy, very bizzy, haz poor Spidey in a tizzy, surely he’z not kilt... or iz he? (Just thought a creepy nursery rhyme would round this out nicely. I have waaay too much time on my hands, lol). Social/Sharing |

Superb Camuncoli ASM cover Paul! Now that is how you draw a perfect Lizard!!! The imagery is really brutal but it gives a more realistic take on how he might really attack! Congrats man!

Boy, he sure does have Spidey in a tizzy! I think he once sang lead vocals for Thin Lizzy.....

In a tizzy! That's perfect! I've been honing that silly rhyme all night, and with your helpful comment, I think I finally have it. "Lizzy Lizzy, very bizzy, haz poor Spidey in a tizzy, surely he'z not kilt...or iz he?" (again, waaay too much time on my hands)

Whew not sure how Spidey comes back from that :) Great image and I think indicative of how dangerous the Lizard is...don't let him get ahold of you! I too loved Cam's work on Superior but this ASM cover ain't too shabby ;) Congrats!
