DescriptionVery happy to have a Mike Deodato Amazing Spider-Man cover in my collection. I love this great image of the Green Goblin looming over a battle between Spider-Man and Gabriel.SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't read the 2019-2021 Kindred saga, do not read ahead. I finally finished the whole Kindred saga (I'm way behind in my reading), and since "Sins Past" had a major connection to the eventual reveal of who Kindred was, I thought it was a good time to post this cover featuring the Green Goblin, Spider-Man and Gabriel, who was originally introduced as one of the children that Norman Osborn and Gwen Stacy had together. I'm a little disappointed that they essentially negated that entire Norman/Gwen romantic tryst, and yet I'm also a little relieved, because although it was an intriguing story back in the day .... ewww. The Kindred Saga was very drawn out, with quite a few twists and turns ... and confusion. We finally got an explanation of Harry Osborn's mystifying resurrection in "Brand New Day," and the saga also brought Spectacular Spider-Man #200 back into canon. But yeah, it had me scratching my head many times. Gotta say that it helped a lot to read the Wikipedia entry for "Kindred" after I finished Amazing Spider-Man #875, where things were supposedly all wrapped up. Social/Sharing |

Beautiful cover! The Green Goblin has rarely looked this menacing!!! And I love Spidey and his webbing! Very 90s!

Fantastic cover! That Goblin is so striking. While drawn for color, I think the image works so much better in b&w.

A cover from the 500's? That's like 38 years ago if they actually followed the monthly schedule! Every new number one is it's own beast now. Really cool Green Goblin cover. Even though he's used more than ever, Goblin remains Spidey's greatest foe in the mind of the public.

A beautiful, high contrast cover as Deodato was known for back when this was drawn. A truly spectacular Green Goblin image is the star of this show in my eyes, while the Spidey battle below is the bonus! Oh, I have to say that I'm very surprised to hear that this is your first Deodato Spidey cover. I would've guessed you'd already owed at least one or two by now!

Lol, totally hear you regarding the "eww' thing, lol. This cover's super memorable, though. No doubt it's Deodato when looking at it with that shadow work. Awesome stuff. Congrats!
