The colors make it so retro looking! The break of sun through the clouds right behind the roar is a perfect moment to show the power of nature.

Wow! Very cool Mark Schultz painting of Raptors at Dawn. I love the composition here of the Raptors lining up at the water's edge. Are they hoping to drink or are they waiting for prey to show up? I love the lighting Mark uses here, with the rising sun behind clouds but still hitting the Raptors from behind, the Raptors partly silhouetted but with a touch of rim light around them. And the sunrise just hitting the waters, the light rippling in the sun. Amazing technique--I didn't know Mark was this good at painting, I only know him from his black and white work. Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
