Description

An Amazing birthday gift I got from my girlfriend this weekend. Unfortunately for him/fortunately for me, a fellow collector had to part with this commission by classic Web of Spider-Man artist Alex Saviuk.

I've always loved that classic style and resemblance to the work of Romita Sr & Kane, yet Saviuk really has his own distinct feel. Another thing I appreciate, is that for these a bit more elaborate commissions, he goes for less obvious poses & settings. The small background elements really add to the storytelling here. The thicker brush lines around Gwen's figure really make her pop, too.

Here, we see Gwen Stacy reacting a bit startled and surprised to Peter swinging into her appartment. A nice "What If", for sure.

Size is 11x14.
