DescriptionFantasy Cover artist extraordinaire John Van Fleet created this work of art back in 1998.This cover was based on the second episode of Season One entitled "Deep Throat". It is a collage of mixed media, predominantly water coler. The small photo of the UFO is even taped on with black electrical tape. John really captured the spirit of the show. Dark mysterious tones, Scully bewildered and still unsure, and Mulder with his head forever in the clouds "wanting to believe". John also created the covers for the Typhoid Mary limited series. Being a huge X-files fan, I am very lucky to have this cover in my collection. It is framed and has been on display in my kitchen for years (as it matches my yellow kitchen walls :) I figured it was time to post it to CAF...with this month's Sketchbook theme of "Painted Art". That show, especially the early seasons, left such an impression. Classic X-Files look to this cover.

Man, I prefer U.F.O. soo much more than the new 'in' acronym, U.A.P. X-Files was a great show and the storylines were amazing. This cover is pretty damn cool also.
