"Death is the Black Racer"

Historic 1st app of the "sky-skiing harbinger of Death for the people of New Genesis". The Black Racer is named in the bottom right panel.
and
The Birth page, very 1st appearance ever, of Willie Walker (named in the top right panel)...the human alter ego of the Black Racer. He merges with Willie whenever he needs to be in human form.

This page is crackling with Kirby goodness; written and pencilled by the King back in 1971.

The Fourth World gave Kirby the freedom to let his imagination run wild and creating characters and worlds that were a heightened reflection on modern society. Black Racer was like Silver Surfer with all powerful abilities close to a god derived from the Source.

I loved the New Gods and Black Racer. Jack Kirby was an absolute miracle of a man.
