Description

�� Tom Bancroft is an animator and print cartoonist He is the creator of the Opposite Forces comic book which featured covers by J. Scott Campbell and Frank Cho. Tom's written the instructional books Creating Characters with Personality and Character Mentor: Learn by Example to Use Expressions, Poses, and Staging to Bring Your Characters to Life. He was supervising animator for the dragon Mushu in Disney's Mulan. I first met Tom when he was an exhibitor at San Diego in 2002. Tom has founded Taught by a Pro, an online series of art instruction by Ruben Aquino, Tom Bancroft, Tony Bancroft, Sandro Cleuzo, Terry Dodson, Michel Gagne, John Pomeroy, and Tom Richmond.

�� Tom grew up as a comic strip and comic book fan. For Inktober, he was drawing Marvel characters. I loved his version of Sue Storm, the Invisible Girl of the Fantastic Four. I think his second best piece is Storm of the X-Men, but his brother Tony beat me to it.

This is a beautifully composed piece. The background and the pose are really great! Love the lines and shading. You have such an impressive collection (even of just Tom!) but this is one of my favorites.
