Description

These are three character designs for the different period Thors.

They were composited into an image that was used as a variant cover to God of Thunder #1 (1:25) as well as providing a frontispiece to several of the earlier God of Thunder issues in the run.

I wasn't sure about the best way to display them, so I made a composite image myself following the same layout as the Thor #1 design cover (which is the main listing image), and I've added the actual individual pieces as separate additional images.

I believe this may also be the first appearance of Jarnbjorn, Thor's axe. So does that make it a birth page as well as a cover? :-)

(And presumably first appearance of Old King Thor as well...)

Beautifully done! I actually like the pencils better than the published cover. This would also make a great poster.
