Finally I got really stunning Al Taliaferro's Donald Duck Sunday, and in colors! :-)

The most valued, sought after and expensive Alex Raymond's Rip Kirby dailies are those where there are beautiful ladies. OK, how about then their appearance in Disney comics? The most legendary is Carl Barks' "Dangerous Disguise" created in 1950.

But unfortunately there are no any originals saved from this story (circa 97% of Barks' originals was destroyed). So, was there anything in Disney comics...? - Excluding Daisy, Duck, Cinderella & other cartoon characters.

I was quite amazed when I saw this Al Taliaferro's Sunday from 1962. It is simply gorgeous!! Look how huge this artwork is! 60 cm x 41 cm. When it has been printed, so much fine details have been dropped due to printing technology and small size. Check a detail from girl's eye! ;-)
I think this artwork was recognised as something special already then in 1960s and it was then coloured too. I guess done by Al Taliaferro himself. Actually... this is the only Taliaferro's original in colors what I have ever seen, or founded from internet! Rare like hen's teeth! ;-)

Additional fun was searching all printed versions around the globe, I was super happy to get the Yugoslavian newspaper from Serbia, DD Sunday strip was printed there already in 1962! Before in any Western countries outside the US! And its size was huge! See the additional photos. So, now we have learned also that the best versions of Al Taliaferro's Donald Duck Sundays many times were printed in Yugoslavia!
However, I don't think that Inducks' index is yet comprehensive, sure there is missing some prints, but so far this artwork has been printed twice in Sweden too:
