DescriptionNo Hulk November continues with an iron infusion!I cut my teeth in comics on Sal Buscema’s Hulk and the Romita/Layton Iron man series (issue 116 to be specific – would love to find a page). These were the titles I looked for first on the spinner rack at the local corner grocery/drug store. In addition to being a great story arc, the Iron Man art team of John Romita Jr and Bob Layton was perfect in my eyes – I couldn’t get enough. I had the pleasure of having Bob Layton do a commission for me many years ago and I chose the classic Iron Man 100 cover as the inspiration for my request, a back issue favorite. Bob is the consummate pro and delivered a perfect rendition of the Jim Starlin cover with the classic Bob Layton Iron Man vibe. Very happy with the result. Iron Man by Layton! Man, you're really getting into the Marvel nitty gritty now. I've loved his work since Hercules and Secret Wars...and Iron Man. He just knew how to handle shell-head, as you see here with this homage. You're killing Marvel month, Dave. Love it

Bob Layton has such an artistic command of the Iron Man character. This is so cool!

Whenever you think of ol' shellhead you gotta think Layton! Nice homage here, in the classicest (I know that's not a word but just felt good writing so I'm sticking with it!) of classic armors. Congrats!
