DescriptionStar Wars Weekly #62 CoverPencils and Inks by Frank Springer Here it is, the published version of the cover actually used on the printed comic for the UK Star Wars Weekly #62, released in 1979. Luke, C-3PO, and Valance the bounty hunter firing upon them! This is my first published art from this series/corner of Star Wars comics publishing history. The alternate/unpublished version of the cover is still together as a pair/set in my collection. View the unpublished version by Bob Budiansky and Frank Springer Thanks again to Jeff Wedding for letting the pair find a new home with me, come and visit them anytime ;) Social/Sharing |

It was a quirk that I found them both available within a span of maybe 6 to 8 weeks of each other. Must have been 2010-2013 timeframe. Glad they are enjoying their new home, and I'll indeed come visit again!

I'm glad the editor still kept the same layout after rejecting the first attempt, as first person point of view layouts are always fun. Congrats on landing your first British Star Wars cover! I love the paper color, very "vintage".

Oh, wow, Kavi! That's a biggie!! So beautiful and nostalgic! I love the central composition of it and the movement at the same time. Congrats, bud!

These U.K. covers could be just as nice as some of the U.S. versions. This one is a great one, and the alternate version you have is just as nice. Great pickups to acquire both versions.
