This is a great reflection on society and how the casual racism was pervasive back then. The intended audience would be reinforced of their beliefs and behavior that this would be normalized and made acceptable by this and all the other forms of entertainment of this era.

Oh wow I never read this strip carefully enough to notice the slur... thanks for pointing it out, I need to note it in the description.
