DescriptionHappy to add another of these wide Darrow pieces that feature Shaolin Cowboy against an array of different creatures. I was asked recently by a friend and collector how I would describe this piece to someone who saw it up on my wall. The answer in short was it's a racing shark. A racing shark with a big engine that's sponsored by corporate oil.I have noticed that theme in a few of these Darrow pieces. He has put corporate sponsors on some of the creatures. In all of those, Shaolin Cowboy is not afraid to face the corporate monster head on. Am I going too deep? Maybe, but either way I find this collection of widescreen works capture Darrow's fantastic imagination and make for a very fun piece. This one is definitely fun to stare at and the detail that went into the engine itself is a lesson in mechanical drawing. Factor in some of the absurd elements like the top mounted skull contraption with gun and the crazy shark jaw chain piercing that ends with an ugly doll in a bikini, and you have a signature Darrow. The pencils for the shark were also featured in Darrow's Lead Poisoning book! Big thanks to Anthony's Comic Art for the piece! Approximately 10 1/2" X 24" Social/Sharing |

AHOY! I'm always thrilled to see a fine six-nine on a nice piece of art. This man is a wildstyle genius!

Delightful, life affirming image from Darrow! My money's on the Shaolin Cowboy here, but the racing shark does provide a worthy opponent. Love the engine, the skeletal jockey, and the Cowboy's choice of weapon

I love a giant tasty scan like this one. Darrow is one of the greatest artists to ever grace the comics page. We're lucky to live in a world where we get to see what comes out of that wacky mind.

What a sharp mind it must take to come up with ideas like this. And what an equally sharp drawing hand it must take to execute them. Darrow is sheer brilliance.

One of my favorite Shaolin pieces I've seen from Darrow recently and it's published too! Congrats! I'll have to add one of these to my collection at some point.

I know this is pretty standard stuff from Darrow but standard stuff from Darrow puts this in the top echelon of comic art.
Loving every single detail he packs into this piece. Truly nightmare fuel.

Loving Darrow's details, especially the racing shark's top head piece of a skull machine pointing a pistol while Cowboy uses a good ol fashion double chainsaw rig. Nice UGLY doll hanging off shark's jaw piercing.
