Description

Our friendly neighborhood UPS man delivered this earlier today. By artist H.C. (Henry Cruse) Murphy, it was the cover to the May 1927 issue of The Frontier, illustrating "Cross and Double Cross" by Martin Stevers. It was a tale which took place on a Missouri steamboat.

I like it even though I'm not usually a fan of something that (for want of a better explanation) lacks finesse. Strangely compelling, I like it a lot.
