Description

Sydney Jordan - Jeff Hawke Daily Comic Strip Original Art Episode H805 (Express Newspapers, 1956).
Jordan's British feature is one of the most significant science-fiction strips, informed in equal measure by a love of high-adventure storytelling and an academic knowledge of aeronautical engineering. This striking example comes from near the end of the story arc "Sanctuary" (6-26 to 10-27-56) which ran for 107 episodes (H703-H809). Signed in the lower margin, and on the reverse, with an annotation by the artist.

Jeff Hawke � una delle strisce britanniche di fantascienza pi� significative, Jordan ha un amore per la narrazione e l'avventura e una conoscenza accademica dell'ingegneria aeronautica. Questo splendido esempio proviene dalla sesta storia "Sanctuary" (dal 26-6 al 27-10-1956) per un totale di 107 episodi (H703-H809). Firmata al margine inferiore e al verso con annotazione dell'artista. Questa avventura fu pubblicata per la prima volta in Italia sul n.17 dell'enciclopedia dei fumetti Sansoni del 1970, raccolta poi nel Vol.2.

Evidentemente i gatti amano la fantascienza :) E Jeff Hawke è uno dei migliori esempi del genere nel campo del fumetto. Bella striscia!
