DescriptionFrom the "Gardens of the Dead" portfolio from 2003. A portfolio containing five (5) zombie illustrations with a corresponding story printed on the reverse of each plate. Stories by Joe Monks and zombie art by the legendary Bernie Wrightson. These portfolios were limited to a run of 500 and sold at the 2003 San Diego Comic Con.This particular plate remained untitled in the portfolio, but Bernie labeled it "Lazarus" on the back which is fitting since our character is clearly risen from the dead and wandering through a graveyard. Another acquisition from a recent trade deal with a friend. I watched as he purchased it from Mike Burkey on Dueling Dealers a while back. It was sold on Comiclink before that and has been around a bit over the past 20 years, but I'm happy to bring it home. Perhaps I'll bring it to the grave. ⚰️ Thanks Mikail! Social/Sharing |

That is a great piece! I love me some Wrightson art! I have a cemetary but still need a Wrightson Zombie. And a Wrightson Batman. And really just more Wrightson lol. Congrats buddy, this is awesome!
