DescriptionAugust 1972, Astonishing Tales #13, Page #1 Splash, Rich Buckler pencils/Dan Adkins inks, "The Mark of the Man-Thing". 3rd Appearance: Man-Thing (after Savage Tales #1, and Astonishing Tales #12)A truly astonishing splash - drawn by one of my favorite artists of the 1970s, Rich Buckler, and inked by my 2nd favorite inker, Dan Adkins! The inks are so crisp when looking at this beauty in person, this glorious splash looks like it was drawn and inked yesterday! Also, the art goes wall to wall sideways and up and down - wow!
