Description

Negation is probably the MOST underrated of the Crossgen books. Bedard and Pelletier did an amazing job situating a prison break book inside the complicated - but really enjoyable - larger mythos of Crossgen.

Obregon Kaine was the perfect central character, and they surrounded him with really complex characters (both in their portrayal and visually). They threw a lot of melodrama on top of it but still kept the plot moving at full speed at all times.

This DPS is indicative of the whole book. Big action contextualized by smaller character moments. The smirk on Obregon's face in the last inset panel is perfection.

Was lucky to get this from Anthony during a ProAm Dueling Dealers show in 2025.

Agreed on the sadly unfinoshed Negation as Pelletier really levelled up on that series.

(As far as the most underrated, I'm sure Route 66 earns that crown ;)
