Cranboyz 2021: Turtles, Bats, Apes, and Snakes

This one came together very quickly and unexpectedly. Drew Moss had been posting some of his amazing TMNT commission work, including his reinterpretation of the cover to the very first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I contacted him to see if he'd be up for doing a recreation of my all-time favorite cover, issue #4, originally by Peter Laird, and then again by Michael Dooney. He said he was up for the challenge, and no more than 3 weeks later I was holding this incredible piece of artwork in my hands. Drew really nailed this one, layering his own style on top of the fantastic original layout. I also love the splash of color he included on the masks in the final piece, which is so reminiscent of the original Mirage Turtles.
