DescriptionOur friendly neighborhood Fed Ex man delivered this earlier today. By artist Joseph Tillotson under his Robert Fuqua handle, it appeared as an interior double-page spread in the February 1939 issue of the pulp, Amazing Stories. It illustrates "Wanted: 7 Fearless Engineers!" by Nelson Tremaine (writing as Warner van Lorne). At the lower right is an Amazing Stories stamp; I've seen many pieces of pulp art from Amazing during this period, but have not seen this stamp before.Social/Sharing |
