Description

The 80s were character gold as this sequence between Amanda Waller and Max Lord shows. As their teams battle it out in Russia, they play a political game back home. Both master manipulators, they circle each other like sharks in this bedside discussion.

Giffen and Gordon do a great job making this very talky scene move with rotating camera angles that give the whole thing a real sense of motion. The windows on the hospital in the first panel are on separate strips of paper glued onto the page.

Those sparse details on the facial expressions and the use of closeups to show those beady eyes are Giffen and Gordon doing what made them popular.

If I'm not mistaken, this was a rush-gig to fill-in pages in an issue.  Kevin was always really late.  Nice page<

This is on Bristol, right?  It's not a stat? Because it looks so white, especially in contast to the Rubber Cement stains.
