Description2020 was a pretty terrible year in many ways, but there were some bright spots. The cancellation of cons and the lockdown created some at home time for some artists that isn’t typically there. This was the case when it came to Dan Jurgens. I reached out to him to see if a Cyborg Superman at home piece from him might be possible and thankfully the timing was right & he had some free time. This type of piece from him has been at the top of my wish list when it came to collecting art & commissions since I started in the hobby. (true story, a Doomsday con sketch from Dan was my first commissioned piece). I can’t properly convey just what it means to me, but Death & Return of Superman captured my imagination in 92/93 and my love for those stories has stayed with me ever since. Cyborg Superman has been a favorite of mine since his debut & now to be able to have a piece created for me by Dan? It’s just such an awesome feeling. Nostalgia can be such a wonderfully powerful thing! So again, thanks Dan, for this and all the stories through the years!Social/Sharing |

It looks as if this pin up came out of that era of excitement to introduce the character! If you remember this storyline well, the Jurgens lines were soothing and healing when the world was cracked open by Superman's death.

Thanks! It definitely feels like it could've been right out of the 90's and I love it.

Thanks! I have been fortunate to add some great pieces to my collection, but this one definitely feels quite special! Dan is always on point & agreed, no one draws Cyborg Superman better.

This is splendid! I used to live in Minnesota and would see Dan at conventions and he is a wonderful guy. I regret never getting a piece when I was collecting from him. Glad you did though :). Great art from a good time in comics, congrats!
