DescriptionI consider Bernie Wrightson and Arthur Adams my co-favorite comic book artists. Back when I was really buying art I failed to get more pieces by Bernie. A regret for sure. I came into some inheritance money and felt having so many more examples by Arthur, I should treat myself to another Wrightson. Published? No. His most famous creation? No. From his prime period and a completely kick-ass illustration? Damn straight. I've always appreciated his Calligraphy as well so for me, this piece has a lot going for it. Bernie was a true genius and a very sweet human being. Pleased and proud to add this to my collection. Thanks to Mike Burkey for a smooth and friendly transaction.Social/Sharing |

I don't think anyone back then dropped the ball on Wrightson more than me. I saw catalog after catalog, sale after sale, for Frankenstein plates going for about $1500. I told myself, $1500????? They must be nuts! If I had bought even ONE of those back then, I'd be the happiest guy in the world right now. Sigh! Anyway, congrats on this great 70's example. Forty years later, and I'm still looking for a true Wrightson example (my Mignola inked one doesn't count for me).

So good that it's all hand done art by the hand of a master!

Wanted this one too...came too late! Pure Wrightson, the artist at his peak. Love it!
