DescriptionSize: 11 x 14Year: 1980 It was only later in life that I discovered how darn good John Buscema was. He loved his Conan work the best and especially that he inked himself. No surprises here, I love his Conan work and the stuff he inked himself too! Behold the Conan Portfolio Plate which shows Conan tied up, a monster lizard about to chomp him and barbarians charging forward. I feel sorry for all of them. We all know that in the next 5 minutes, the monster is dead and so are the barbarians followed by much drinking and wenching! Hail Big John! Social/Sharing |

I actually know what happened here. The lizard is a female and fancies Conan (as all the ladies do. Nothing sexier than an unwashed barbarian.) so she chews off his bindings, helps him kill the guys in the background and they settle down for a night of passionate love...A bit far fetched? He sleeps with anyone female in the comics.
