DescriptionPeople seem to have a love or hate relationship with these books (both in terms of the art and the treatment of the titular character/story). I've been a long-time fan of The Walking Dead comics but have only watched a bit of the TV series and have never played any of the games (which is apparently where Clementine first appeared). I was happy to see a comic-based spinoff that brings The Walking Dead back to its original format, and I've thoroughly enjoyed both volumes that have been released so far.I chose this page over some others not only because the illustration is excellent, but also because it's a wonderful juxtaposition of hope and despair. Somehow, these characters have survived their ordeal at the end of Book 1 and (in the pages just before this one) talk semi-optimistically about the future. Meanwhile, the world around them is still shrouded in darkness and covered in shambling zombies. Social/Sharing |

The way Walden does the main panel is awesome! It looks done in reverse with a scratchboard to reveal more optimism and light coming out of the despair and darkness.
