Description11 x 14 title page from Love and Rockets #46Picked up a few pages at this weekend’s CAF Original Art Expo and will be adding them over time. I’m always looking for great Jaime Hernandez art and I couldn’t resist picking up this page at the show. I’ve long desired one of Jaime’s wrestling-themed pages but couldn’t choose the right one until now. Jaime and Gilbert would wrap up the first volume of Love and Rockets with issue #50 but neither one of the brothers was letting up as they neared that issue, as is evident by the narrative, comedic, and rendering skill Jaime brought to this page. Great sports entertainment! The work on the wood panelling is hand done tight linework and serfves a contrast to emphasize the different physiques. Whenever I search Butt Sisters, I get a call from HR.

beautiful art, nuff said. but I'll say a little more...the wrestling themed pages/content from Hernandez just really stand out to me (and not just because i'm a wrestling fan). the way he depicts still action as well as movement action and sound effects is just really seamless. gorgeous title page example and with an amazing title haha. glad I got to see this one in person at OAX after you picked it up and it was awesome to finally meet you! looking forward to seeing what else you grabbed there, congrats.

Great pickup Mark! Nobody draws women in motion like Jaime.
I was sad to have to skip OAX this year at the last minute but I will definitely be there next year. And I saved a bunch of money, so its a bad news/good news kind of thing.
