Brother, you are comin' back with a vengeance! Killer piece of art here and probably the premier image of Bucky as the Winter Solder. AND historically important in that it's the Winter Soldier origin issue as well as his first cover appearance. So many great Bucky shots in this image as well as some nice tonal work. BIG congrats, man!

Modern classic from the greatest Cap story AND one of the greatest Marvel epics ever. Bravo!

Man, every morning I log into CAF not sure of what glorious wonder is going to blow my mind and give me the boost to make it through my day (and thank you for that, Bill Cox!). This one is like rocket fuel (and it's Saturday?!!? What, you couldn't have posted this on Monday...? ;) ) What an incredible piece, and it gorgeously compliments the other incredible framed pieces that you have accompanying it.
Sincere congrats for this most amazing piece, not only for its historic relevance and importance, but for the piece itself; a beautifully crafted image, incredible tone work, with a very dramatic composition: the "modern" Bucky (or should that be 'the modern "Bucky"'), in painful juxtaposition to (and with his back turned on) all the innocent glory of his past. Oof! Impact! Awesome. Congrats again!

Awesome cover. Still wish they hadn't killed Nomad to make way for WS though. Always felt like a character theft in some ways to me... (yes, I'm still bitter)
Also, hate to be contrary Nick, but isn't the variant of #6 technically his first appearance cover...?

Great cover Niko, I'm glad to see you re-posting your collection back on CAF. Bill Cox must have threatened to release those photos of you from SDCC. Lol. I always thought the first cover appearance of the Winter Soldier was issue # 6 ( variant B) which Steve Epting still has in his personal collection. Was issue # 11 published before issue # 6?

I was impressed with the early cover appearance of the Winter Soldier I saw previously, but the first cover appearance! Wow, just wow! Congrats.

Absolutely stunning Captain America cover. Powerful portrait of the Winter Soldier by Steve Epting. Love the collage of scenes behind him of his life as Bucky, long before he became the Winter Soldier. It's such a sad reminder of the past that is long behind him. The art by Epting is outstanding. What a great cover!
