Al Milgrom Crossword Puzzle Romance

I was able to pick up two Milgrom Crossword Puzzle illustrations. This one has a bend in the vellum, but it looks just fine on the scan. I adore these. I think the idea that love can be found under an umbrella made from crossword grids is charming as hell. These are the types of illustrations I find the most enticing. They are meant to be contemplated or considered for long. They were slapped on the cover of a crossword magazine sold right by the grocery store register and forgotten. It is likely that the person buying the mag didn't even look at this drawing. But it is done with skill and charm and that should be celebrated.
