Description

An unused prelim for an unknown issue.
This may have been a suggestion for the cover for Legionnaires 14.
It shows the Adult Laurel Gand with her younger clone (now code named Andromeda).
In the retro-conning of the DC Universe. Laurel Gand was supposed to be the Supergirl equivalent in the Legion.
So for a Supergirl fan like me, it would have been a fun cover to see both versions on the same cover, however, it was unlikely that DC would have approved this cover as the two teams of Legionnaires operated independently and the older Laurel Gand was presumably killed in action around this time.

Only Hughes can still capture the overt sexiness inherent in the imagery when doing fairly quick and rough preliminary designs like this. Really nice!

As they retconning that ribbon of time space

Oh man, I wish this cover had been used for a story about these two teaming-up. It could have been awesome.

Adam Hughes can draw attractive ladies with his eyes shut. Even on a prelim like this, he knows how to make them look their best. Great pick-up!

The "5 Years Later" Legion and Legionaires was when I got into the LoSH. Always loved Laurel/Andromeda.
