At last! Another notch in my belt of grails. Nothing spectacular to the uninitiated, but here ladies, gentleman, humans and mutants...is a double page splash of Apocalypse in full effect with his first villain speech to match (working on securing an overlay artist to ink the captions and word balloons).

Here we have the penultimate issue in the Rise of Apocalypse story where En Sabah Nur finally stops his pointless fight for acceptance and accepts himself...as the future herald of the strong and with it the name we all know and love or fear...or both?

Apocalypse reaches the Sphinx ship controlled by Rama-Tut (Kang variant) and inherits it's power only for Tut's right hand man, Ozymandias to arrive looking to kill him to secure the ship and its power for himself...which as you can see did not go well!

The coolest thing here is the captions reading what Ozy's absorption of power is doing which is showing him the future of all mankind under the all might of Apocalypse...

So basically...

Ozymandias read the Age of Apocalypse storyline before any of us did! Lol And clearly the story was a mind blower then because the poor bastard turned to living stone as the first of Apocalypse's slaves.

I know owning one of the covers of this series isn't likely which makes this grandiose display as close as I'll get.

I think I'll live with that!

Power personified! Who wanted to read a mini series about a villian anyways? Turns out Apocalypse is the hero of his own origin! A 90's showcase of Pollina's and Apocalypse's might!
