I love the Elric novels by Michael Moorcock and I get picky about how artists render the character. Quah uses shading and his pen work so deftly, this art appears seemless, even with all of the layers of ink I notice when I examine this piece closely. Quah's lighting effects somehow both mute the piece overall, yet highlight and emphasize the detail on Elric's armor, sword Stormbringer, and his clothing.

This should be at least a print for sale, but really it should be a book cover. What a work of art. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, what a great take on Elric! Really digging the gloomy/moody feel of the scene, with that intense stare out into the distance. And I absolutely love how the "black" sword pops off the page, nearly as bright & eye grabbing as his pale skin & hair. Really cool, very bad ass. Congrats.

And I second the prior comment, this should definitely be a cover.
