Description

Rebekah had a great run on the Buffy and Angel & Faith comics, and I loved her work on those books (as well as her new series Money Shot). She has a great eye for capturing likenesses while making them expressive and animated. I never found the right piece (though there's one that I missed out on but am hoping becomes available again), so I was excited for the opportunity to get a commission from her.

I requested something with the big three- Buffy, Angel, and Faith- and Rebekah went with a layout inspired by some of the 20th anniversary Buffy reunion photo shoots. I really love how this turned out, from the gothic background to the red watercolor accenting, but the highlight for me might be Buffy's tunic top. She always dressed fashionably, but this feels like another level.

The cartoony look for Buffy reminds me of the Arthur Adams cover to Buffy #1 back in her first series. Isaacs not only captures the characters look, but the early vibe of The WB network days. They had a youthful optimism and courted the next generation of young stars. I can still see the line up of The Wayans Brothers, Buffy, Dawson's, Felicity, Charmed, and teen focused shows with the soundtrack list at the end of each episode.
