Description

It was a pleasure working with Butch to put this commission together - I really liked the idea of these two "impostor" heroes from the '90s facing off. Special thanks to CAF friend Carl for the heads up about the commission opportunity, and for some inspiration on the setting!

This is yours ?! Congrats my friend ! An amazing piece from concept to execution !! This piece was the first time I'd seen Guice draw Azbats and it's one of the best renditions ever !

Thanks! Yes I also had not seen him draw AzBats before and he did a really amazing job. I think these two would have made a great pair for a World's Finest series in the early '90s!

Loved the prelim with the classic Azrael costume too. The fantastic work Guice has done with his recent commissions really makes me want to get on the list too...

Congrats again!! This one is so darn fun! I agree with you, definitely feels like an "untold" tale from that World's Finest series (Issue 9 specifically). Two "imposter" heroes are are darker versions of Batman & Superman, both subscribing to a cold hearted approach to dispensing justice. They'd eventually see eye to eye, but they'd definitely lock horns first!! Glad you were able to get on this list early, it filled up super quick!
